DIGITAL STORIES

Using imovie, iphoto and audacity audio software, each young person wrote and then recorded their story via mini disk. The photographs were supplied via digital and disposable cameras, or other found imagery.

FILM MAKING

The group were introduced to Mini DV recording using a Canon XM2, sound kit and imovie editing software.

DIGITAL MUSIC

Using Sony Acid Music Pro software, which was installed onto the centres PC’s, the music module allowed young people at a time to create and develop their own track.

WEB DESIGN

The original intention was to allow each young person to create their own small website with their material as content. This proved to be over ambitious in the time allowed. Instead we will create a space for each young person to create specific content for the GG website.

JOURNALISM

Using photo stories, music reviews and news headlines the journalism module aimed to specifically create material which may be placed on a website.

ANIMATION

The istop motion and imovie software animation was a huge success with both pupils and teachers, creating remarkably engaging films in a very short space of time.

RADIO

Young people planned and interviewed musicians from Dubmerge and The Anomalies using Digital Mini-Discs and non linear editing using Sound Studio software.

PHOTOGRAPHY

Postcards were produced using composite images collected from a range of objects within the PRU. They were edited in Photoshop Elements on MacBook laptops. Portraits were taken without stand alone cameras by using the built in iSight in the MacBook and simple Photo Booth sofware.
